Meet Hairqut — The Agent That Understands Your Hair

You've talked to an agent before. You asked it to plan a trip, draft an email, explain the noise your car was making. You didn't fill out a form. You didn't browse a menu. You just said what you needed, and it figured out the rest.

Now do that for your hair.

Hairqut is an agent you talk to. It reads your hair, finds your match, and brings the salon to you. That's the whole thing.

The problem with every other way of booking a haircut

Every tool built for booking a haircut makes the same assumption: that you already know what you want.

Open a booking app and you get a calendar. Open a salon site and you get a menu of services. Search "hairdresser near me" and you get a list of strangers. Every one of them hands the hard part back to you — which service? which person? will this actually work on my hair? — and asks you to guess.

Then you sit in the chair and try to translate the guess into words. And sometimes it works, and sometimes you leave with a haircut you didn't ask for.

The calendar was never the hard part. Understanding your hair was.

What an agent does differently

An agent doesn't start with a calendar. It starts with you.

You tell Hairqut what's going on with your hair — in plain words, English or French — or you send a photo. From there it does the work you were doing yourself:

One conversation. No menu, no guessing, no waiting room.

An agent, not a feature

Plenty of companies bolted a chatbot onto a booking page and called it AI. That's not this.

The difference is what happens when you say something the form didn't anticipate — "my hair's been flat since I coloured it and I don't know why." A booking widget hands you a service menu. An agent actually engages with the problem, tells you what's likely going on, and gets you to the person who can fix it.

Hairqut resolves. It doesn't deflect.

That's why we don't describe Hairqut as a platform, or a marketplace, or an app with AI in it. Those words describe tools you operate. Hairqut is something you talk to.

And then it comes to you

The second half matters as much as the first. Understanding your hair is useless if you still have to lose a Saturday to a salon.

So Hairqut brings the salon to you — a licensed, vetted professional at your home, office, or hotel, anywhere in Greater Montréal. No commute, no waiting room, no rushing back to work. For seniors, for parents, for anyone whose day doesn't have a spare half-day in it, that's not a convenience. It's the only version that works.

Where this is going

Every category that touches something personal eventually stops being a tool you operate and becomes an agent that helps you. Money, health, travel — each made that turn. Hair hasn't yet. Most of the industry is still competing over who has the nicer calendar.

We think that's the wrong race. The thing worth building isn't a better booking screen. It's something that actually understands your hair and then does something about it.

That's Hairqut.
